Built over three levels, Remarkables Retreat is a comfortable and easy holiday home solution situated along one of Queenstown’s main arteries into town, Frankton Road.

ACCOMMODATION DETAILS:
Hovering above the waterfront of Lake Wakatipu you can find this delightful holiday home. Modern and comfortable, this is the ideal lock up and go property – no unnecessary stress on your trip. With stunning vistas and access to the nearby walking trails, this home is a real gem. Large group? We also manage several other Remarkables Retreat properties – ask reservations.

The open place living, dining and kitchen area is positioned to maximise the views and sunshine. A balcony off the dining area is perfect for breakfast as you plan your day’s adventures. Breathe in the fresh mountain air and bask in your stunning surroundings. The balconies provide an ideal location for enjoying a morning coffee or alfresco dining.

Sit back, relax and enjoy some television or connect to the WIFI and show your friends at home that incredible view. On the third level, you will find a small garage for parking with internal access for ease and convenience (great for storing luggage and ski gear too).

Please note that an all wheel drive vehicle or 4WD vehicle is a must during the winter months to access the driveway.

Over the 3 storeys, there are 3 comfortable bedrooms, all classically finished and bathed in light:
Master Bedroom: 1 Queen bed
Bedroom 2: 1 Queen bed
Bedroom 3: 2 Single beds (1 King on request)

RATES:
- Rates are a guide only & subject to change
- Special events and Christmas/New Year’s tariff subject to increased nightly rates and minimum stay
- Additional fees include pre-arrival inspection, house linens, towels and standard departure clean
- Please note that stays of 7+ nights may require mid-stay clean/linen change where additional charges may apply
- Prices are for up to 6 people. Additional beds & linen maybe available upon request – ask reservations
- Minimum age requirement 25 years or older for the leading group member (photo ID required)
- Bond $500

A copy of the guest’s photo ID (Drivers’ Licence and/or Passport) is required upon finalising of the booking.

PRIVACY ACT:
The information requested from the guest is to enable Goodstays Ltd to assess the guest’s request to rent the property. The guest does not have to supply this information, but if the guest does not, then Goodstays is unable to rent the property out. The guest acknowledges that Goodstays will collect, hold and use the guest’s personal information for purposes related to the renting of the property and the provision of related customer services, including direct marketing and assessing customer satisfaction with products and services provided by Goodstays. The guest further acknowledges that such personal information may be disclosed to debt collection agencies, insurance companies and/or law enforcement agencies in the possible event of non-payment, damage or theft to the property; and the guest hereby authorises the disclosure of their personal information for such purposes.

You will have access to the entire home.

The Goodstays’ Guest Services department is available via phone or email throughout your stay, 8am - 10pm, 7 days a week, with a 24-hour emergency line.

Easy access to amenities such as the airport and Queenstown’s Remarkables Park shopping precinct, Remarkables Retreat is also only a 5 to 10-minute drive (or bus trip) to downtown Queenstown. Adjacent to Queenstown’s marina and popular Frankton walking/cycling track (running alongside Lake Wakatipu into Queenstown), so you can opt to stroll into downtown if a comfortable walk in the fresh air beckons.

As Queenstown is an alpine town, many of our properties have steep driveways. This home also has a single garage so you will need to be a competent driver particularly if you have an SUV/minivan/people mover.

Property has stunning views of Lake Wakatipu. Convenient location. Property was great - spacious, clean, comfortable. Check in and out were easy. Property Management was available however we did not need to contact during our stay as there were no issues. Everything was well maintained. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this location and property. Thank you!!

Great stay at this place! We spent 7 days there and couldn’t have asked for anything more. The place was clean, spacious and had a real cosy feel to it. Would definitely recommend !

Stunning lake view! Fully equipped with what we need as a family of 6. We prep our own meals in the kitchen. Comes with washing machines and dryer. Each bed also comes with electrical warmer. Great for us who visit during cold season. Highly recommended if you would like to stay a few days around queentown. 10 mins to the skyline as well as Nzone skydive. Only problem is the Parking zone is a bit tricky (there is a slope) if there is car parked at the roadside car park.

Stay was superb, I would choose this location again. Positive: The location was amazing, views from sitting area and balcony were stunning ! Negative: I think each bedroom could have done with a chair in it. The bedroom at the bottom of property had no drawers for the guest to store clothes, also they was no mirror!

Great location and amazing views. We enjoyed our stay. It was very clean, comfortable but the driveway would make a goat nervous. Beds are a bit old but otherwise this is a good place to enjoy a Queenstown holiday.

Loved our 7 day stay at this accomodation. The absolute great: - THE view - comfiest natural bedding - thorough heating that kept us warm on very chilly nights - spacious The so so: - If you plan to cook, the avialble kitchen wear is average. Many of the plates were heavily chipped and frying pans were unusable The only bad: - Driveway to garage. While there is a description that this is challenging and for experienced drivers only, for us from a non snowy place, a warning that the driveway is incredibly steep and gets icy would have helped. A 4WD or AWD is an absolute must in winter (however garage will be a very tight fit for a large car). Barely avoided a slide down the driveway accident. Finally, we unfortunately ended up having to put recyclable items to landfill waste as we could not find where to recycle non glass items. Tips on where plastic and cardboard/paper can be recycled on the information would be helpful.

We were 2 couples from the North Island enjoying a 3 day break away together. Remarkables Retreat 10 was perfect for our stay. The layout worked well and we had plenty of room. 2 separate bathrooms meant that we had our own privacy and weren't queuing for showers. Having arrived in snow, it was a nice surprise to find the apartment heating on when we walked in. It was a lovely warm and clean apartment with great views. I would advise guests to either take with them, or grab some tea, coffee etc on route, as this is not provided and it is a drive to the nearest supermarket. The driveway is definitely a challenge, but if you drive down the first part of the drive and then back in, it is a lot easier.

Apartment was lovely. Great views over the lake and mountains. Heating worked well. Comfortable beds and block out curtains. Parking is tricky but okay. No problems with Goodstays but I do wish the advertised price was the price, rather than adding on linen and cleaning charges. I've never encountered paying a $500 security bond either. Our stay was really enjoyable.

The Remarkables Retreat 10 was pretty much as described.Unfortunately the four days we were there the weather was not the best with sub zero temperatures.Access to the property was made difficult by thick ice,especially to the bottom garage.The house was well presented but could be improved with better heating.All amenities were good quality and worked lovely in warmer months.Had a wonderful time and would recommend.

For a change, we decided a stay in an apartment would be better than a motel and so we chose a stay at RR10. the difference is like the difference between a public motel or a private residence. We had trouble originally finding the place as it was at the end of lane and yet to secure any phone reception for a GPS but once found, there was no problem. We had a guest with mobility problems which made it difficult for her because the toilet was on another level during the day but on the same level at night but as anywhere in queenstown is on a hill, it is really unavoidable. But people parking in front of our entrance ramp is an unnecessary inconvenience. Inside the heating took a while to find the right temp and the master bed felt like it had been slept on by a 300lb Moari :) but other wise very clean. There was strange inclusion and omissions. no phone number handy for immediate problems, like parking in front of ramp although I may have had a number on one of my emails and the inclusion of a remote control that did nothing. I would stay there again and/or recommend it if you like privacy but if you want desk service or concierge, get a motel.Distance from queenstown is just beyond a daily walk but close enough for a car. Queenstown, was generally a disappointment as we wanted NZ and not a theme park for tourists. The view from the lounge is great and zenlike interspersed with the occasional jet

Our stay in the Apartment was fine but the distance to the town center was a bit further than anticipated. I'm not sure this was advertised. Other wise the apartment felt spacious and more than suited our needs.

My husband cut his hand on the uncovered oven fan - extremely dangerous. He also had to programme in the TV before we could get any picture.
So we were a little disappointed with this considering the cost to stay for 3 nights and that we had to pay a $500 bond up front months before arriving.

The toilets also smelt, whenever we were on the balcony the smell from the drains was unbearable when someone flushed a toilet.
Might need to get that looked at.

The property was as described and was v clean. However the main living area was extremely cold even with an extra heater - we were not able to get it warm & I have since been told I should have contacted the prop management co about this. There is a 2 seater & 3 seater couch - not enough comfortable seating - no board games, no books,no dvds, no sky and no Wifi. All of which is as per the description but makes for a v bare holiday house. We stayed for 1 week and were a family party of 6 adults. We definitely missed Wifi. Its a 40 min flat walk to town - a bit far for the non skiers & bus is $5.50 . With a few extra touches this could be a fabulous place to stay.

Unit is clean and comfortable with the basics. Need a colander, pegs and fix bathroom powerPoint, intercom and light above stove.
Beware if booking internet - we were misquoted and were treated very poorly when asked for a mistake made by Goodstays to be rectified and compensated. Nick could not even manage an apology and was sarcastic and condescending in his communication with us.
The owners of unit 10 should be made aware of this as we will not use Goodstays again.. I would not recommend this property to a friend based solely on our treatment by Nick and Alan, the General Manager.

Tidy house with good parking. Good place for a group of friends but would be better if the double beds could spilt into singles. A little far for walking into town but not too expensive by taxi. Garage is great for keeping bikes secure.

Amazing view and my father was really very satisfied with it. Almost complete amenities... almost because there was no rubbish bins in the bathrooms and no wifi which is very disappointing. ( We rented 4 houses in different locations and this is the only house that doesn't have a wifi.)

Coming from the Cook Islands we had instructions to the house which I had printed, it took us a while to find the house due to no signage on the busy main road. On our arrival we found that we needed a combination to the door which was supposed to be downloaded on our phones, well we dont have that technology to do so and the hard copy didn't show this, so I called a cell phone number and they gave me this on the phone. We had 4 remotes in the house which was confusing as to which one belonged to where and if we stuffed up the channels we would of had to pay $150 for a technician to fix it. Bedding in the cubboard was stained and didn't seem to have enough pillows for 7 people. Towels provided we had to wash them every day and put them in the dryer, being to cold it didn't seem to dry as fast. We wanted the WIFI which wasn't available as in the com podium which was left on the table, but when I called they told me to turn the modem on, well couldn't find one anywhere. Had told them that we had an accomodation business to run back at home and needed to check emails. Someone came round while we had gone off to a wedding but no note or follow up with us was given. Was given two rubbish bags and was suppose to get rid of any other otherwise extra costings would apply??? One key for the bedroom door to the verandah and had to share with the room next door. Curtains were coming off the rails in one room. Checked out at 10am, no one to check us in or check us out.

Gorgeous place to stay - perfect location and the most amazing view. Highly recommend this to people wanting to escape city life but yet minutes from the hustle and bustle of beautiful Queenstown central. :)

Great accommodation, well appointed and great outlook over the lake making breakfast very relaxing. Disappointed when we arrived to find carpets not vacuumed and bathrooms dirty. Perhaps no one had been in it for a while or cleaners just gave it too quick a clean. We were not impressed at having to do some cleaning.

It`s difficult to find the Remarbables Retreat. The Appartement is in a neglected condition (the door of the Garage damaged, Entrance overgrown, pillows and carpet with patches, cobwebs at all Windows, bad manageging (i`ve booked an other Apartment, but I get no Information that the Apartment not available is - only to my demand. That`s not o.k. !
The Management write, I get a Upgrade for the same Price, but I think, this was a "Downgrad" - this Apartment is not worth 200 NZD/day (I have payed 270 NZD !)
The View from the Apartment is perfect, the way to the City very far.

Great - easy to get into town with bus at top of road. Apartment was clean and tidy. Pretty basic, things like bins (in bathroom) and hooks to hang coats, etc were not present, plus only 2 teaspoons! We bought some more and left them in drawer for next guests! Worrying to see damage to garage door upon arrival, but quick email to management and they assured us that previous guests had caused damage. Property was tricky to find at first and parking was tricky, but it all worked out fine. Shame that wifi was not available, but not a disaster.

We loved the view from the apartment, but would like to make some comments and helpful suggestions. The location was great, but getting to the unit was a real challenge. There was extensive construction going on, and negotiating that with the hills and turns was difficult. The unit was basically nice, but really is in need of a lot of updating regarding furnishings. One of the large glass panels on the deck had an unsightly plywood replacement.The garage door was damaged and there was no convenient way to enter the property from the garage level since no entry code was provided and the system did not even look operable. Also, the other properties we rented during our trip to New Zealand; the owner or manager met us upon arrival, it would be a nice touch to do so with this apartment as well. All that said, we did really enjoy our time in Queenstown, and the property would be excellent with some upgrades. Everything worked well in the kitchen.
The location was a great springboard to all our outdoor activities in the area.

A nice place with a million dollar view, we loved our time here. The only downsides were that one of the neighbours parked their car infront of the garage so we couldn't use it and the carpet wasn't very clean - had quite a lot of hair on it when we turned up. But other than that the views are amazing and it is a lovely place to stay. We will hopefully be back soon.

Regarding the downsides you mention, there is extensive building work currently taking place at the units, and this may have influenced the state of the carpet (we shall, however, double check and make a note to housekeeping). Parking at the units appears to be getting taken up by these work staff, which was obviously inconvenient for you and we do apologise. We're organising NO PARKING signs to manage this issue.

Remarkables Retreat 10 was conveniently located. We were disappointed in the presentation of a very outdated apartment. The TV in the lounge must have been at least 15years old, 18-20", almost impossible to watch. That also goes for the extra TV in master bedroom. Unacceptable for 2013. The lounge boasts the most spectacular views but obscured by cobwebs covering the windows & doors leading onto the patio. The path leading down to the front door was overgrown by the hedge & leaves littered the entrance way. The iron didn't work. I was sure there was suppose to be a BBQ, there were BBQ utensils provided. We were unable to park in the garage as a boat had been parked in a most inconvenient position.

We are a family of 4 and stayed 5 nights in January. The apartment is divided over 3 floors and gave us plenty of room. It was equipped with everything we needed, including good kitchen, washer, dryer, heaters, extra bedding and plenty of towels. The apartment is a 5-minute drive from central Queenstown and offers beautiful views of the lake and mountains. Goodstays, the property management firm, was helpful and well-organized although multiple e-mails confirming and re-confirming the apartment were a little over the top.
