Established in 1991, Lone Star Queenstown is genuinely and rightfully considered an institution. The restaurant has a mix of old town Queenstown and a rustic, cowboy themed interior as well as a more modern upstairs dining room with comfortable private booths, a large projector screen and a pool table. The upstairs café and bar often used for functions can host as many as 90 seated guests and just as many again in the bar. A smaller more private and intimate room seats up to 32.
Built on local support for our high standards of customer service, atmosphere and quality. For sheer entertainment, marvel at our Tongan waiter, the Right Honourable and Most Venerable Basil Saula, who has been an integral part of our team since his arrival from Christchurch in 1995. His speed is exceptional and you won’t forget him. “Pistol” Pete is another unforgettable attraction and has been looking after locals and tourists at Queenstown Lone Star since 2000. Take a pre or post-dinner drink in our legendary Café Bar, you may well find it hard to leave!
