It’s all in the name – The Lakes Edge sits at the end of a private cul-de-sac, where guests can truly feel like they’re in their own slice of Queenstown paradise. Still only minutes from everything in Queenstown. The Lake’s Edge is an idyllic spot to spend your Queenstown getaway.

ACCOMMODATION DETAILS:
This 2-storey home is large and spacious, maximising the jaw-dropping views of Queenstown Bay and the mountains. The newly furnished lounge provides ambience after a day's skiing. The expansive balcony and floor to ceiling windows truly take in all the views of the Lake Wakatipu and surrounding mountains. The generous kitchen comes packed with everything you could need to cook a feast after a long day hiking or skiing.

Step outside into the large sheltered courtyard, fit with landscaped gardens, a BBQ and brand-new outdoor furniture – ideal for alfresco dining. Thankfully there is also plenty of space to add a portable hot tub – just ask our reservations team. The home also comes with a lock up garage and private driveway for vehicle storage.

BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS:
Upstairs there is room for all the family or group, with four bedrooms including a shower with its very own skylight. In total, the home has 3 bathrooms. The bedding configuration is as follows:
Master bedroom: 1 Queen
Bedroom 2: 1 King (2 singles on request)
Bedroom 3: 1 King (2 singles on request)
Bedroom 4: 2 Singles (1 King on request)

- Rates are a guide only & subject to change

- Minimum age requirement 25 years or older for the leading group member (photo ID required)

A copy of the guest’s photo ID (Drivers’ Licence and/or Passport) is required upon finalising of the booking.

The guest does not have to supply this information, but if the guest does not, then Goodstays is unable to rent the property out. The Lake house was bigger than expected & great for our family stay. The booking team were exceptional in meeting our requirements for the extras like cots, high chair, safety gate. Great views excellent location and good value.
There was a renovation next door that we could have done without , but didn’t bother us too much .

Well appointed in an ideal location. Far enough out of the heart of Queenstown but easily reachable by a great walk around the lake or through the park. Superb views with a great verandah for relaxing. Everything we needed was provided. Highly recommended

This property is great for a family or a group of adults.

it is well located (short walk to town) and has stunning views of the lake and mountains.

it is well equipped and comfortable. It was clean and well presented on arrival.

My only gripe is that the internet connection was not up to scratch - it could not comfortably stream netflix. this is not acceptable.

You pretty much summed it up with stunning views, I don't think you could ever really get used to that incredible outlook. In terms of the WIFI- unfortunately the trade off for those majestic mountains is WIFI that can be less than perfect at times, this can be exacerbated during peak season when the population of Queenstown booms. I hope this didn't put a damper on your trip and you were able to get out and make the most of the slopes. WE HAVE RENTED THIS HOUSE TWICE NOW.
OVERALL , IT IS IN A GREAT LOCATION CLOSE TO TOWN WITH PARKING FOR 2 CARS. ITS ON A CUL DE SAC IN PRIVATE AREA.
THE HOUSE HAS WONDERRFUL AMENITIES BUT THERE ARE CERTAIN CHALLENGES. THE MAJOR BEING TRASH ALOCATION OF 2 BAGS FOR YOUR ENTIRE STAY.
THE HOUSE NEEDS TRASH & RECYCLING BINS WHICH ARE NOT PROVIDED. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS BE
PROVIDED BY OWNERS.
IN ADDITION, HEATERS WERE NOT WORKING IN BATHROOMS UPSATIRS, SOME DOORS SQUEEKED(MASTER BEDROOM) AND NO DISH TOWELS/POTHOLDERS PROVIDED
IN THE KITCHEN.
HAVING SAID ALL THIS, I DEFINITELY WOULD RENT THE HOUSE AGAIN, HOPEFULLY WITH THESE IMPROVEMENTS.

Spacious property with great views across the lake from the front of the house. We only stayed 3 nights so didn't really use the kitchen but all facilities in good order

It is often difficult to get the accommodation right when booking from overseas. Often the photos and location can be somewhat exaggerated.
However The Lakes Edge property delivered as promised. Handy location, good bedding and sleeping options for our crew of 7. Plenty of space to relax along with a well appointed Kitchen. The cul-de-sac street is also a bonus.
The Lakes Edge will be top of the list for accommodation next year - thanks Goodstays.

This house has incredible views looking down Lake Wakatipu and to the Remarkables. There is a deck that we sat on every evening with a wine and soaked in the views. The house is tidy and spacious with all the ammenities you need. The location is an easy walk (15 minutes) in to town - especially as was walking with a pram- thru the Queenstown Gardens. Many places 'close' to town require you to walk up a huge hill, this is not the case at The Lakes Edge. Perfect spot as the neighbourhood is peaceful with no noise issues. Good Stays were professional to deal with at all stages in the booking. We had one hiccup on arrival where we were missing the mattress to the portacot we had organised and they delivered in within a couple of hours. We were traveling with my two young kids and Good Stays helped to organise a high chair and portacot which was really helpful. There are lots of stairs and glass tables so not overly kid friendly but think you will come across that in any holiday rental. Thanks for an amazing holiday!

Family get together (9 people) had great time.Excellent location 15 minute stroll into city centre. Helpful to be able to park three cars on/off site.

We had a big group of mountain bikers and it fit us, gear and plenty of showers. Was very clean and they let us use the garage for the whole day we checked out for the bikes. The view was stunning, all in all 5 stars

The house was very lovely however during our stay we had a few issues we had to phone the manager about, he was extremely rude and unhelpful, I am unsure why this man works in tourism as when ever he answered the phone he was extremely unwilling to take our call and had no interest in helping us what's so ever. It was a really lovely house and we had a great time however wouldn't return here if I had to deal with gwen again.
