Beautiful property in an amazing location, with views to die for. Allan & Teresa were very helpful and answered any questions we had promptly. The jacuzzi overlooking the lake is a lovely touch.

The place is just lovely and the views are stunning. The reasons for the 4 vs 5 star review were due to the toilets on the bottom and mid levels which didn't flush properly. They did send a plumber out as soon as we called, but it didn't really resolve the issue. Another big problem for us was the quality of the bedding. In a luxury rental like this I would expect hotel quality pillows and linens and that was definitely not the case. And while the house was very clean, the grout in the shower of the master bathroom was dirty.

Loved it - great location and walkable to Queenstown. Now if you could just get them to speed up the street construction to shorten the walk into town!

Great spot, very close to Queenstown with a gorgeous view. It’s a hike up the hill, but only a 10 minute scramble. Great views from the hot tub on the deck make it worth it.

Great stay, central location with beautiful views. Downside was that there’s a lot of roadworks that we weren’t made aware of - it should’ve been an easy walk straight down the road to town however it was blocked off including foot traffic. Would be a lovely stay in winter but top area gets a bit hot on warmer days.

Pros: - View - Comfy beds - Proximity to town - 3 bathrooms & 3 bedrooms with their own level - Living areas - Spa - Fire place - Washer and dryer - styling and beautiful gardens Cons: - Very difficult to find, can’t see the house number at night. - Fireplace wasn’t working, had to call after hours to get different instructions. - Had to turn the underfloor heating on at the switchboard despite being told it was on. - Mould in main bedroom ensuite. - Ensuite shower not draining correctly - Lower level main bathroom shower glass does not keep in water, after every shower there is a large puddle. - Wifi didn’t work on the bottom level, didn’t work at all on the final day, goes in and out constantly. - 2 very small cakes of soap & 2 rolls of 1 ply toilet paper per bathroom. - Only allowed 2 large bags of rubbish. - Having to pay extra for a portacot

Wonderfully presented home perched above Queenstown with spectacular views. Host was very proactive and responsive with communication. A wonderful stay for families or groups. Highly recommend!

It’s really a Great Home and great location. Outdoor space with spa and view is quite nice. Very comfortable for 2-3 couples or family with children. Property managers were very responsive and let us know as soon as we could checkin (earlier than published) since we had arrived by air with all our bags. The BIG HILL to walk back from town (only a few blocks from city center) is quite difficult. Not recommended for small children, elderly, or health problems - you can always taxi though No Air conditioning and no ceiling/portable fans. We were there in summer and it was quite uncomfortable in house during the day. Not a problem if you are out doing activities.

Nicholas’ place has a stunning view and is perfectly positioned in the heart of Queenstown so you can enjoy everything it has to offer right on your door step. The apartment is well appointed, the couches and instant gas fire place make a lovely place to unwind and relax at the end of the day. The beds are comfortable and the apartment is very clean. We had a lovely stay and would recommend it to others.

A beautiful home that made our trip a bit more special! Location was perfect and right by the town center. The house had everything we needed for a weeks trip. Communication was very good! We were able to travel stress free despite the multiple changes in Covid-19 restrictions and date changes. Thank you for an amazing stay!

My friends and I stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it. The views are amazing and it's only a 5 minute walk down the hill in to town (the walk back up is a killer but it's worth it lol) and its so close to the gondola and luge and also the shotover jetboating. I highly recommend staying here, you will not be disappointed.

The Haddons is a great location in Queenstown. The views over town and the lake are spectacular and well worth it. The house is a great space for relaxing and separation between rooms and areas means multiple people can have their own space while still being close. Definitely would stay again.

Family ski holiday

Loved staying in this property. Quickly felt like home and gave us the space we were looking for instead of a small hotel room. Bright, spacious and open modern floor plan with wonderful outdoor space. And i haven't even mentioned those views yet! Incredible! Only 1 block up a little bit of a hill but the positive is that the view is that much better!

We stayed 9 nights at The Haddens and couldn't have been happier. The staff at Goodstays were easy to deal with and whilst we had a few minor maintenance issues (very minor) they were extremely accommodating. The property is well presented and well located, the hill is steep into town but if you have average to sound mobility this shouldn't put you off. We are already looking to book here again we enjoyed the experience so much. Thanks to the Goodstays team, you made our trip very easy and enjoyable.

We loved our vacation at The Haddens, home was large enough for our family of six adults. We did reservation online and everything went through smoothly. Home was very clean and well presented. We rented the spa for verandah and it was awesome. Instructions for access was simple and seemless. Thankyou for a quality home - we had a great holiday in Queenstown.

Our family of 4 had a great stay at the Haddens in Queenstown. There could not a better rental in terms of view and location. We were blocks away from the center of Queenstown with a full 180 degree unobstructed view of the lake, city and mountains on either side.

Comfortable home with great views and good location

We loved staying at the Hadden's during our Queenstown visit. The house fit 5 of us comfortably and we loved hanging out in the living room and dining area and enjoying the views of the water. The house was clean and had everything we needed including a washer and dryer. The only problem was we couldn't get the dishwasher to work, but we just washed our dishes by hand. The walk into town was very quick and we got great exercise walking up the hill multiple times a day!

BBQ didn’t work. Lounge cushions old and scratchy. VERY HOT in afternoon sun, no blackout curtains.

This house was great. It was comfortable - it was great sitting on the verandah in the sun, drinking wine and looking at the view. Very modern, clean and great appliances.

Beautiful and well maintained house. Was perfect for a family reunion. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Would definitely come again. Bit on the pricey end and would have been nice if garage remote was provided.

Our family of 5 found the Haddens ideal. The spacious design with open planned living and comfortable sofas made for a relaxing holiday. The tri level design suited our family. It was a 5 minute downhill walk into town, slightly longer and more challenging on the return, but the views and quiet location were well worth it. Very easy arrival and departure instructions and prompt communication from management. We would certainly stay here again and recommend this property to friends.

The property was in perfect condition for our arrival, just like the pictures promise. The location is a 5 minute walk to the village but a 10 minute walk back as the hill is very steep. The views from the property face South over the lake and are awesome, sunset in particular is a great time to see the colours changing over The Remarkables. There was one small maintenance issue which was attended to very quickly once we reported it. Would definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

Amazing view house and postion

Our recent stay at The Haddens was everything and more than we had hoped for. We were absolutely blown away by the incredible view of the mountains and lake. The proximity to town was ideal, just a short easy walk down the hill and your there! The Haddens had every amenity we could possibly need, it was clean and beautifully fitted throughout. We could not recommend the Haddens more highly to anyone wanting a family holiday in Queenstown, we just loved it so much and cannot wait to do it all again sometime. It was the best Christmas ever!!!

Best location- straight walk down the hill into town. Beautiful beds, wonderful deck and view. Very comfortable lots of amenities available. Really good service booking through goodstays too. I would stay here again and again. Would advice to hire the hot tub as this made the stay even better. Quiet and peaceful wonderful holiday.

We loved staying at The Haddens, wonderful house perfect for us with two teenagers. So close to town they were able to have the freedom to walk down the hill and have their own time or we could pop down for a pre dinner drink on our own.

This house is one of the best places I have ever stayed in. I have travelled to many countries & The Haddedns property supplied all & more than I expected. The views are stunning & you we enjoyed our stay very much.
the only downside is the "HILL" but to have that perfect view I could over look the massive climb. Goodstays were so easy to deal with & I would recommend to anyone

This is an awesome place to stay! Warm, modern, well appointed, and spectacular views. The fact you can walk into town and leave the car behind is also a massive bonus!

This property is very close to town and has spectacular views. We found the house itself average for the cost we were shelling out; with fairly old couches, pillows and carpets in the living room. The bathrooms were under equipped. Nonetheless, overall experience was good and I would recommend the place.

Initial entry instructions were a little vague.
There was one external balcony door that could not be locked.
A house for six people, and only two keys. Would have been convenient to have another key.
Brilliant view, good quality, and very clean.
Overall, a great place to stay.

When we arrived, the house was really cold and there was no hot water. It took many calls to finally reach Glen and have him explain what we needed to do. He sent a plumber who informed us the plumbing was ok, but the property hadn't been rented in a while and the hot water tank was turned on the morning of our arrival. After flying for almost 2 days, we were all looking forward to a refreshing shower, but didn't have hot water until the next morning. It took almost a dozen calls to actually get through to Glen, that was a surprising disappointment. The garage was very difficult to park in because of the protruding block wall, at the rear of the garage and the 90-degree entry, with limited space, due to the shrubs. The landscaping was absolutely gorgeous, a private botanical garden.

We enjoyed our stay at The Haddens. The home was surprisingly warm.Beds were comfortable, spacious, etc.
The only concern we had, (We are all over 60 years) for our needs the kitchen was lacking basics, ie; we purchased tea strainers and left them behind.
Notices in the house threaten extra charges if kitchen, barbeque is not cleaned properly, but there was no detergent for the dishwasher, sponges or proper scourers, again we purchased our own.
Notice if TV programme is altered, charge $150.00 to fix, however no instructions on its use were to found.
There were three dangerous chairs, broken wine glass and coffee cup. These were disappointing!
The manager did come and see us ASAP.
That said, we understand these issues will be addressed by the owners.
Yes, we would suggest the property to friends and relatives.
Location and views were second to none, we enjoyed drives to surrounding areas, Arrowtown, Glenorchy, and ate at various local restaurants including Botswana Butchery, and Coyote Grill ( great Mexican food).

Great spot, exquisite views. House has all the amenities you could want and was beautifully clean. Spent a lot of time on the balcony enjoying the view and crisp air. Short stroll down the hill into town, steep (but quick) climb back though. All the rules and regulations were a little off-putting however - seems there must have been some difficult clients in the past. Rental company and the Goodstays app were very professional.

This place has it all- views, quality and convenient location.

I stayed at the haddens for 6 days this July with a group of friends. It was a beautiful house, and initially I thought it was worth the expensive price.
Two days after checking out I received an email that we were being charged $366 from our bond because a key was missing. I had received no phone call or email notifying me of this, or explaining the charge. After persistently attempting to contact Glen Rolle, the general manager, I was finally told that the key supposedly missing was for the sliding doors to access the balcony. I informed Glen that we were never given a key for those sliding doors, instead we had a key for the other door which also accessed the balcony (as it was a dual key, confirmed by Glen).
Upon checkout I took a photo of the entire top level, as I had heard other guests had problems with excessive fees from good stays.
When I spoke with Glen and told him I had a photo of this key, he told me that I was lying and that it was my mistake. He yelled at me, interrupted me, and ultimately said 'I'm over this', and hung up the phone.

We have been charged the full amount for this, have received no apology, and are very disappointed.

It was very new experience to stay in the townhouse type accommodation with very nice location and all top class amenities and facilities. Its like home abroad. You just have to incur on some toiletries Else everything provided.......finally would recommend every family to stay here and i will also definitely prefer again when i visit the queenstown.

The Haddens has a great view of Queenstown and is centrally located. The rooms are clean and modern. There's a steep hill to climb if you are walking, but it allows for the wonderful view.

This was our second stay in this property. We are very happy with the location. We didn't expect the owner to replace the broken toaster with a new one within 24 hours after my daughter casually mentioned to him. However, we did find few of the dining chairs were wobbly and for such a beautiful home there is a bit lack of amenities like shampoo, conditioner and hand/body wash.

The home was perfect for the six of us. We loved the layout and modern design.
The location to town was ideal as we could walk to just about anywhere in QT.
The steep trek up the hill was great preparation for climbing to the top of the Ben Lomond summit on Christmas Day. The only complaint, though minor...the guest bath shower door needs some adjustment/seal to prevent flood after each shower. :). QT adventures after TeAnou and over-night kayaking in Doubtful Sound: ..LOR tour, Shotover River white water rafting, Central Otago wine tasting, fergberger and more.

This property is magnificent in every way. It is a short walk into Queenstown though the hill on the return was testing. The house has everything you could possibly want for a comfortable stay and the view is awesome. Loved every minute of our stay here and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants quality accommodation in Queenstown

Location was "A plus" with views over the lake, town and surrounding mountains. We'd recommend this property to anyone wanting one of the best properties in Queenstown.

This home was so comfortable and amazing I wish I could live here all year round. We were very impressed and felt right at home.

Such a great location and the house itself is beautiful - perfect for a group. We hired the hot tub as an extra and it was our favourite part of each day, before coming in and sitting in front of the fireplace.

House was perfect and the view absolutely stunning. Steps from town so no car needed. We even walked the hill back to the house and it wasn't as scary as it looked! We had the best girls weekend away.

This was a beautiful home with a wonderful view close to all the shops and restaurants. We all enjoyed our time here as it was very clean and had all the amenities one could ask for. The property manager answered my one question in a timely manner. We would definitely come back again and we would recommend it to others.

A fantastic property in an ideal position. The premise was as described and did not disappoint. Contact with the management when we first arrived was both prompt and courteous. The house is extremely well appointed and was presented in an exceptionally good condition upon our arrival. Far too cold to enjoy the views from the patio, but they were just as great from the warmth of the living area and kitchen. Simply a great house in a great location in which to enjoy all that Queenstown and surrounds has to offer. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others!

This is a wonderful house in an excellent Location within walking distance to downtown. We enjoyed our stay there very much, even though we did not have warm water when we arrived, the heat was turned down to 15 C and the Internet was on a timer, so that it only worked at certain hours ......

The haddens was a great location to spend a week in Queenstown. The property was gorgeous, easy location close to town, and a pleasure to hang out in.

A fabulous location with a view to die for! Very relaxing and a well equipped kitchen, not great for my elderly mum due to steps but she enjoyed the view. Only other negative was a very bad hook to keep curtains in in the main bedroom - not required and dangerous! Batteries not working in TV remote. Queenstown is fabulous and I would recommend this house. We will visit again.

The vetting process to rent the Haddens was quite intense ~ copy of my driver's license, paperwork and a security deposit~ that was all fine. The problems started when we arrived. We got into the house and settled in ~ very clean and the location is second to none ~ and when we (there were 4 of us) started using the water in the house we noticed that it never got hot, plus the underfloor heating (in their paperwork) didn't seem to be working. We were all tired from traveling and wanted to take showers, but they were stone cold! We called the management company and they sent someone over later in the day. They found a problem but couldn't have someone over to fix it until the next day ~ so much for the showers. The next morning a couple of guys showed up and were at the place for quite some time. They sorted the issue but said we wouldn't have warm water (or underfloor heat) until about 8 hours later! Needless to say, we weren't happy. Anyways, that issue got sorted, but a couple of days later the house alarm went off in the middle of the afternoon ~ twice. My husband was at the house, sick with the flu, and had to deal with it. I know these issues can happen with any house, but we were told that other people had just been renting the house right before us with no issues...not sure I believe that.

Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay at The Haddens in Queenstown. It was a modern, lovely home, and allowed us to spread out on several levels for some privacy after being together all day. We didn't expect the beautiful terrace with breathtaking views of Queenstown and the lake. We were also surprised that we were already in the heart of Queenstown and didn't need to use our rental vehicle at all. We highly recommend The Haddens for anyone traveling to Queenstown.
