Built over three levels, Remarkables Retreat is a comfortable and easy holiday home solution situated along one of Queenstown’s main arteries into town, Frankton Road.

ACCOMMODATION DETAILS:
Hovering above the waterfront of Lake Wakatipu you can find this delightful holiday home. Modern and comfortable, this is the ideal lock up and go property – no unnecessary stress on your trip. With stunning vistas and access to the nearby walking trails, this home is a real gem. Large group? We also manage several other Remarkables Retreat properties – ask reservations.

The open place living, dining and kitchen area is positioned to maximise the views and sunshine. A balcony off the dining area is perfect for breakfast as you plan your day’s adventures. Breathe in the fresh mountain air and bask in your stunning surroundings. The balconies provide an ideal location for enjoying a morning coffee or alfresco dining. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances like a sandwich maker, rice cooker, baking trays and lots of crockery.

Sit back, relax and enjoy some television or connect to the WIFI and show your friends at home that incredible view. On the third level, you will find a small garage for parking with internal access for ease and convenience (great for storing luggage and ski gear too). As Queenstown is an alpine town, many of our properties have steep driveways. This home also has a single garage so you will need to be a competent driver particularly if you have an SUV/minivan/people mover.

Over the 3 storeys, there are 3 comfortable bedrooms, all classically finished and bathed in light:
Master Bedroom: 1 Queen bed
Bedroom 2: 2 Singles (King upon request)
Bedroom 3: 1 Queen bed
Bedroom 4: 2 singles

LOCATION:
Easy access to amenities such as the airport and Queenstown’s Remarkables Park shopping precinct, Remarkables Retreat is also only a 5 to 10-minute drive (or bus trip) to downtown Queenstown. Adjacent to Queenstown’s marina and popular Frankton walking/cycling track (running alongside Lake Wakatipu into Queenstown), so you can opt to stroll into downtown if a comfortable walk in the fresh air beckons.

RATES:
- Rates are a guide only & subject to change
- Special events and Christmas/New Year’s tariff subject to increased nightly rates and minimum stay
- Additional fees include pre-arrival inspection, house linens, towels and standard departure clean
- Please note that stays of 7+ nights may require mid-stay clean/linen change where additional charges may apply
- Prices are for up to 8 people. Additional beds & linen maybe available upon request – ask reservations
- Minimum age requirement 25 years or older for the leading group member (photo ID required)
- Bond $500

A copy of the guest’s photo ID (Drivers’ Licence and/or Passport) is required upon finalising of the booking.

The information requested from the guest is to enable Goodstays Ltd to assess the guest’s request to rent the property. The guest does not have to supply this information, but if the guest does not, then Goodstays is unable to rent the property out. Our family stayed three nights at the retreat. We really enjoyed our time, the views were amazing and the accommodations were very comfortable. The company was extremely helpful and I would recommend this location.

Great accommodation and stunning views, right next to the lake walking track. Took a while for the underfloor heating to crank up to keep the lower levels warm.

Great stay for up to 8 people although there are only 6 dining chairs. Very warm and cosy in winter. Great location and you can walk along the lakes edge to the village. Very convenient to get to the ski fields and town.

Remember to use the black bin bags and not the recycling bins if you want to avoid a fine.

Linen and kitchen appliances were good quality. Would definitely stay again.

The Best PArt of our Whole South Island Trip was Acomodation at Queenstown. Excellent Views.. Very Comformtable and spacious. All my Family members voted Best Location in South Island they have lived.. We highly recommend Any traveller to go for Remarkable Retreats without thinking about anything else.

Let me start by saying we have been travelling to Queenstown for more than 15 years regualry and have stayed in the many of hotels in the area and many guest houses.

We stayed in late October - Spring time. We were a party of 7, 3 seniors, 2 middle aged and twin 4 year old boys. This is intended to be an honest and fair appraisal of our stay.

We stayed for 11 days / 10 nights in the unit.

The good, the view is sensational, the unit was clean. The area was quiet and no loud parties. The bedrooms are large. The living area is comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed, the TV is a good size. There are lots of boardgames for the kids to play with on rainy days and Goodstays were accurate in their listing.

The ok, the location is almost too far to walk to town or too Frankton. There is a single lock up garage, there are electric space heaters but no fireplace, and 2 or 3 fan heaters, the balacony is a good size.

The bad, the parking on site is narrow and congested, and the garage is difficult to exit/access due to others parking outside thier units for the same reason. The shower in the main bathroom leaks in the corner spilling water across the floor. There are water stains on the lower bedroom walls from a previous plumbing issue. There was a kayak stored in one of the bedrooms against the wall from the owners and a lot of closset space in several bedrooms had personal effects (or junk) stored in them. Goodstays only give you 2 large garbage bags for trash, over 10 days this is no where enough for 7 people. There are no exteral outside bins for trash. The lower rooms, 1 with a portable fan heater were very cold even on warm days - 5=several blankets and an electric blanket at a time on you kind of cold. Not all rooms had a heater.

I have tried to represent a fair account of our stay, without predujice - hope this helps others.

Unfortunately we arrived at night in the rain and found the place hard to find especially the driveway and the garage to this particular unit. The unit was however clean and warm. There was a bus stop very handy to take us into town and back. We were a group of 8 ladies and ran out of water on the second morning when about four us washed our hair. The property manager was helpful when I phoned. I would recommend a change to gas water heating to avoid this problem as it is a large house and accommodates a lot of people. Also some designated parking outside the unit and the garage clearly marked would assist. I would however recommend this property, the views were stunning.

This property has wonderful views, however it is a little dated. Overall it is good for a larger family group. The underfloor heating on the 3rd level (which is like a basement) was not working and we had teenagers sleeping down there. While the company did provide fan heaters it was not ideal to have these running all the time. The car parking is a nightmare at this location. You do have a garage for the car but other tenants park in inconvenient places meaning turning a car around is very difficult. If you have trouble with stairs then this house is not for you. A recycling bin would have been helpful instead we dropped our bottles off outside Countdown as the 2 rubbish bag allowance would not have been enough.

A great place to stay . It was clean with lovely beds and a high standard throughout. There was no road noise or noise in general and the view of the lake magnificent. The kitchen was too small but that was the only drawback so excellent overall.

Our rental was an ideal location and size for our family that had traveled from as far away as London and Australia. We had children to cope with and the 3 floors were ideal for sleeping choices. The outlook was a bonus and we enjoyed the walking track every morning to buy our coffees.

The porter is conveniently located between the airport and the centre of Queenstown. The only drawback seems to the increasing traffic volume on the only road into and point of Queenstown.
The property was clean and as advertised.
It was good for my family of five - it would be a bit hard pressed to accommodate the advertised 8 in the upstairs living area - no problem at all sleeping 8.
The letting agent (Goodstays) is highly professional and responsive.

Great house. Plenty of space for 8. Well furnished and good equiped kitchen. Comfy beds. Fantastic views. Parking is really tricky and not alot of room especially if in biggish vehicle.

The property was a dream to stay at. Apartment was fully furnished and very clean. It had all hotel quality linen and towels, a fully equipped kitchen, iron, ironing board, hairdryer and an electric blankets, washing machine and a drier. It also had complimentary welcome pack with cleaning products, washing powder and tea, coffee, sugar, milk etc for your arrival. All you need to bring is your suitcase. This place is perfect for a short or longer term stay and is amazingly close to Queenstown city and to everything else which makes this apartment such a lovely place to stay. Sitting on balcony in the evening overlooking the lake and mountains is a dream come true. Goodstays Queenstown Ltd was a delight to deal with. I would not hesitate to recommend staying at Remarkables Retreat 5 and guarantee your experience will be one you will not forget in a hurry.

Great place to stay in Queenstown, lake view from each of the 4 bedrooms and living room. The house is split over 3 levels, living/ dining/ kitchen on the top, 1 ensuite, 2nd bedroom and bathroom on 2nd floor. lowest level is another 2 bedrooms. There were also a lot of activities in the unit I stayed, kayak, 3 mountain bikes which can save a bit of money if you were planning to hire anyway.
Short drive to the city. Driveways were a bit narrow as some people can be selfish parkers.
Property was clean, quiet and very comfortable.
Lots of DVDs for the family to watch. A few board games too.

Overall very happy with the stay and not much to complain about.

Generally, the property was excellent and was in a fantastic location. It was clean and well maintained. Following are a couple of comments that would make the experience so much better.
- leave the front light on so guest could find it easier at night.
- make sure the HWS is turned on
- make sure the heating system is turned on if it a cold period.
- provide some basic essentials such as milk, tea, coffee, etc, for the guests.

Overall very satisfied.

The property was fine good location & facilities fantastic view and well equipped. The issue was with Good Stays. They were a pain from start to finish. They quoted and incorrect price (last year's) so our choice of three was based on incorrect info. They then debited another $140 for the price difference without consulting us !!! It was v difficult to get hold of them. All communication was by a standard email which was hard to understand. I finally got them to adjust the price back to somewhere near what we had been quoted. However to add insult to injury they tried to charge us $60 for leaving some recycling at the property. I got it back but everything was a battle with no personal contact. Would not touch these people again ever !!!! Have used book a Bach lots of times with no trouble at all. Owners beware

It's OK, adequate for our needs. However, parking and access was a problem. Very steep driveway and no where to park for Unit 5 as owner's car in the garage. Also cold downstairs at night, the fan heater was very noisy. Bathrooms are dated. Fire alarm kept going off second to last day but no one could come out and sort out. All in all, I would not come back.

Hi Remy, thanks for your feedback. You'll be glad to know that the owner no longer uses the garage, and this is kept vacant for guest parking and storage. Being that this property is a three-storey house, the lower floors will be colder than the rest of the house, and we do our best to include portable heaters to combat this. All beds also include electric blankets for extra warmth if needed.
