We flew in to NZ for a wedding at Stoneridge and stayed for the week at this house. Truly a wonderful place and a wonderful stay. Everyone was impressed by this residence, and it was the perfect location to get ready for the wedding that was being held just down the hill. Even when the power went out later in the week (due to heavy rain in the area, no fault of the home) the management company was quick to reply and come out just to be sure there was nothing wrong with the house.
Travel tip: If downtown Queenstown is getting too busy, check out Arrowtown for great dining and some interesting NZ history as well!

We were two families that had a great time staying at Lake Hayes, easy access to ski fields and a really lovely but no fuss atmosphere to return home to each day.
Nick at Goodstays replied…
Dear Mairead, Thank you for your review and great to hear you enjoyed your stay at Lake Hayes Luxary Residence. We look forward to hearing from you next time you plan a visit to either Queenstown or Wanaka. Warm Regards, Goodstays”

This property is in a wonderful position and is large enough to cater for a big family group in all weathers due to the home cinema and games room. However if the standard of furnishings in the living and bedrooms were upgraded and more comfortable the property would be a lot more desirable.

We had our wedding ceremony, drinks/nibbles and reception dinner at this property. We hosted 60 guests and were able to have our bridal party stay with us on site. The BBQ area was perfect for our buffet dinner, the lawn provided plenty of room for a cocktail reception and ceremony, whilst providing fantastic panoramic views. We were easily able to use the onsite facilities to cater meals. Parking was more than ample. The property was very comfortable for 10 overnight guests without feeling like we were tripping over each other. Each room has its own en suite and most have expansive walk in wardrobes.
I would be confident that our 60 wedding guests could have easily been accommodated indoors if the weather had been adverse also.
Thanks for a great weekend!

We had a family holiday at Chouze recently and honestly it's the best place we have ever stayed. From the large bedrooms all with their own bathrooms to the most breathtaking view from the lounge and kitchen.
It is situated right on lake Hayes and next to Amisfield winery which is also amazing.
The house is brand new and everything is spotless
